I am a single mom, homeschool parent, friend, empath, healer, gardener, artist, educator, and doula…..

I identify as a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP) and have always been drawn to work that cultivates growth and requires holding space for life’s transitions.

I enjoy being in connection with the rhythms of nature, which led to choosing Environmental Studies/Education as my focus for both undergraduate and graduate school. Both were transformative educational experiences for me and deeply shaped a lifestyle of living close to the Earth.

I have an ongoing love affair with plants and I never feel quite as content as when my hands are in the dirt, creating something beautiful, or “holding” space for healing and transformative experiences.

I gave birth to my daughter at home, in water, in a yurt in 2008. It was about 20 hours from start to finish and was a manageable, peaceful, positive experience!

A few of my greatest accomplishments

I have attended well over 150 births in the last decade as a professional doula. The first birth I ever attended was that of a friend back in 1999.

I am a homeschool mom and single parent. I view being a mom and teacher to my daughter as an enormous privilege. She constantly inspires me to be the best version of myself.

I am a passionate gardener with a strong affection for and connection to the healing properties of plants, especially the visual and energetic realms.

I lived in a yurt for several years while designing my passive solar home and building a small farmstead where I lived for 14 years.
